Manu Sharma is a soft-spoken, academically inclined doctor from London. He comes to India in search of a traditional bride. His parents are keen on arranging a marriage with a girl who shares Manu’s cultured and family-oriented values.
Tanuja “Tanu” Trivedi, on the other hand, is a free-spirited, rebellious, and outspoken girl living in Kanpur. She enjoys life, flirts casually, and often clashes with societal norms.
Manu and Tanu meet through an arranged marriage proposal. While Manu is genuinely serious and earnest, Tanu is resistant to the idea of marriage, especially with someone she barely knows. Despite Tanu’s initial reluctance, the two families push ahead with the wedding arrangements.
