The story follows Prem, a shy and insecure young man who runs a cassette shop and dreams of becoming a singer. His family forces him into an arranged marriage with Sandhya, an intelligent and confident woman who is overweight.
Prem is unhappy with the marriage because he cares too much about society’s beauty standards and feels embarrassed. Their relationship becomes awkward and full of misunderstandings. Over time, Prem begins to see Sandhya’s kindness, strength, and intelligence.
The turning point comes during a local husband-wife race competition where Prem carries Sandhya on his back. Through this challenge, he realizes the true meaning of love, respect, and acceptance.
